Nisthat Welfare Organization

As torrential monsoon rains wreaked havoc throughout Sindh, once again this year, rendering thousands of families homeless with many homes destroyed and crops devastated. To ensure evacuation of people to safer places and provision of relief facilities there, Nishat Welfare Organization established 7 Monitoring Cells in the Districts of Karachi, Hyderabad, Badin, S.Benazirabad, Sanghar, Dadu (all in Sindh) and District Jaffarabad, Balochistan as well.

Performing its humanitarian duties side by side with SA Relief since 2010, different teams of NWO at different locations are rescuing the inundated people. The monitoring cells are also collecting vital statistics of initial damages. These initial assessments will lead to plan immediate relief operations as well as rehabilitation in phases later on. NWO has also planned to launch mobile medical assistance in the rain affected areas which will help reduce risk of water-born diseases.
